It seems like almost everybody is watching HBO Max’s new miniseries The Staircase.
The show, which airs on Binge in Australia, dramatises the events covered in the French documentary series of the same name.
Both follow the death of Kathleen Peterson and the subsequent trial of her husband Michael.
The original documentary, created by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, gained access to the Peterson family, the defense attorneys and the courtroom.
