Annual Tillman Foundation fundraiser honors former ASU soccer participant Pat Tillman; held in individual for first time since pandemic
The 18th Annual Pat’s Run — a 4.2-mile run/stroll celebrating the legacy of former NFL participant, Sun Devil and Army Ranger Pat Tillman — returned to Sun Devil Stadium on April 23 after two years of digital working as a result of pandemic.
Thousands of individuals got here collectively Saturday morning to honor Tillman’s legacy and lift funds to assist the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Tillman Scholar program.
Tillman, who performed ASU soccer in faculty, was taking part in for the NFL when the Sept. 11, 2001 assaults occurred. He gave up his soccer profession to hitch the U.S. Army, and was killed by pleasant hearth whereas serving in Afghanistan.
The route took runners from Sun Devil Stadium by way of the streets of Tempe, again to the end line at Sun Devil Stadium.
